Law At Work was created in the UK 10 years ago by Malcolm Mackay, a leading employment lawyer. Frustrated with the limitations of the traditional legal model in meeting certain client needs, he designed a service with the following features:

  • A mixed team of advisors – employment lawyers, HR professionals and arbitration specialists – trained to work together to solve client queries, and communicate solutions as practically and simply as possible
  • Contracts that offer clients cost certainty and let them seek on-going advice or simply information on a 24/7 basis – all under a fixed fee
  • An up-front audit to ensure 100% compliance and periodic reviews to maintain it
  • Regular legal updates – in plain language
  • A unique insurance policy to protect against defence costs and awards from employee claims

Following a positive response from clients, Law At Work identified gaps for its service model in other countries and has since launched in several European locations.
